was 1994 when the first Big Dog motorcycle rolled out of a Midwestern
residential garage. Styled like no other. Performing like
no other. Our reputation grew slowly, mostly by word-of-mouth
from one loyal customer to the next. Each year, sales accelerated.
At first, our 100th bike
seemed like a great accomplishment. A few years later, we were
ecstatic when we built number 1000. Now our 10,000th
motorcycle is leaving the factory, and 5,000 more will join it this
year. What started as one bike has grown to a six-bike arsenal
of radically styled models all with big tires and big engines.
And what started in one garage has grown to a ten-year old company than
now spans two city blocks. Sure, some things at Big Dog Motorcycles
have changed, but the passion to build cutting-edge cruisers for real-world
riding will always be at our core."
